Over the years, he has navigated through every lane of Hollywood, and thus, when he recently sat for a candid conversation on a podcast, the host tried their best to fish out some industry gossip. Though the actor tried to keep his lips tight throughout the podcast, he did spill some beans, especially on how some actors make it ‘miserable’ for other artists to work on the set. Without revealing much, he called out actors for their antics and weighed in on the rumoured ‘tough’ behaviour on sets.

When the award-winning star, William H. Macy, appeared on the ‘We Might Be Drunk’ podcast, the hosts didn’t miss the chance to get some industry hot tea. The ‘Jurassic Park III’ actor was asked to list out actors he really hates. Before Macy could answer, the host listed a couple of names, including Tommy Lee Jones, with whom William worked in the 1994 legal thriller ‘The Client.’“He was rough,” said Macy, trying to be diplomatic. He even added, ‘I’m not letting out any secrets.’ However, his next statement revealed one of the darkest truths that lurk behind light, camera and action. ‘You know, there are a lot of actors out there, it pisses me off, who make life miserable for a lot of people, and they don’t get busted for it, and it pisses me off,’ he revealed.In the same podcast, he was also asked about his take on rumours surrounding Jim Carrey. ‘The Mask’ actor has often been accused of having difficult behaviour on set during various stages of his career. Weighing in on the topic, Macy kept his remark short and clean. He said, ‘I did not act with him, but I’ve just heard he can be really tough.’

Jim Carrey’s on-screen appearances hardly failed to impress, but his off-screen behaviour has been questionable on many occasions. While filming the 1999 Andy Kaufman biopic ‘Man on the Moon,’ Carrey took the character so seriously that he didn’t come out of it the whole time. He himself confessed that he became the character. Reportedly, so much so that he refused to take direction from director Miloš Forman, and endlessly provoked the rest of the cast with his behaviour.While Jim Carrey called it method acting, the ‘Hobbit’ actor Martin Freeman called it “self-aggrandising, selfish and narcissistic.” Years ago, on the Off Menu podcast, Freeman called out Jim Carrey for his behaviour and said, “I am a very lapsed catholic but if you believe in transubstantiation, then you’re going somewhere along the line of, ‘I became the character,’ no you didn’t, you’re not supposed to become the f***ing character because you’re supposed to be open to stuff than happens in real life because someone at some stage is going to say ‘cut’ and there’s no point going, ‘What does cut mean because I’m Napoleon?’ Shut up.”
