The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially declared the CBSE Class 12th result 2026 on its official website today May 13, 2026, Wednesday. Students who appeared for the board examinations can now check their marks online using their login credentials. The pass percentage stands at 85.20 which as dipped from 88.39% last year. In 2025 and 2024 the results were declared on May 13. The examinations were conducted from February 17 to April 10, 2026. This time, the scorecards have been published after 52 days. The much-awaited results have brought relief to lakhs of students and parents across the country who had been eagerly waiting for the announcement. Along with the official website, students can also access their digital marksheets through DigiLocker and UMANG.

CBSE Class 12th result: Girls outperform boys, over 94,000 score above 90+

This year, 17,68,482 students registered for the examination, while 17,04,367 appeared and 15,40,934 successfully cleared the board exams. Girls once again outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 88.86%, compared to 82.13% recorded by boys, while transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate. The board also revealed that 94,028 students scored above 90%, including 17,113 candidates who secured more than 95%. Around 1,63,800 students were placed in the compartment category, accounting for 9.26% of the total candidates who appeared. Trivandrum, Chennai, and Bengaluru has recorded the highest pass percentage such as 95.62, 93.84, and 93.19% respectively.Among institutions, Kendriya Vidyalayas recorded the highest performance with a pass percentage of 98.55%, closely followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas at 98.47%. The Delhi region registered an overall pass percentage of nearly 92%, while foreign schools affiliated with CBSE recorded 90.50%.

CBSE Class 12th result: Supplementary exam details

The Class 12 supplementary examinations will be conducted on July 15, 2026, in a single-day format. Students who have been placed in the compartment category in the 2026 board examinations will be eligible to appear for the exam. Apart from compartment candidates, students who have passed the Class 12 board exams in 2026 but wish to improve their performance in one subject will also be allowed to appear. The board further clarified that candidates from the 2025 compartment category can also take the examination, as this will be their final opportunity to clear the compartment after receiving three chances.CBSE further informed that the List of Candidates (LOC) submission process for supplementary examinations will begin on June 2, 2026, in online mode. The board advised schools and students to strictly follow the schedule and guidelines, adding that no applications will be accepted after the last date.Original certificates laterCBSE schools will distribute original marksheets and passing certificates separately after the online declaration of results. Students should stay in touch with their respective schools for updates regarding document collection. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the Class 12 board examinations earlier this year across multiple centres in India and abroad.
